I am always excited to try out products from newly launched brands. And when the products are 100% natural and paraben free, it’s like icing on the cake for me! Today I’m here with one such natural product from a startup brand called “Soulpure“. This brand makes handcrafted soaps with many different types of ingredients. The soap which I have is made with carrot puree and buttermilk. Scroll down to know more about it!

My Take Soulpure Buttermilk Carrot Bastille Unscented Soap
Soulpure has kept the soap’s packaging simple. It comes wrapped in cellophane and a note with its ingredients list pasted on the back.
The Buttermilk Carrot soap is handcrafted through a soap making technique called “Bastille“. It means that it is made with at least 70% (or more) olive oil. All the ingredients of this soap are safe to be used on babies and people with sensitive skin because they’re very mild on the skin. The soap’s name says that it is unscented, but it doesn’t mean that it has no fragrance. I guess by unscented they meant
that it doesn’t contain any artificial scent or perfume. I could notice the soap’s smell even before taking it out of the wrapper. I think the smell of carrot puree is more prominent in this soap, I’m not able to explain how exactly it smells like, but I love it!
It was my first time using a Bastille soap so I had no idea how they’re different from the normal, handmade soaps or commercial soaps before using it. The soap looks same as the other handmade soaps I have tried so far, but it has a very different and kind of “rich” lather. It is bubbly due to the presence of buttermilk and coconut oil in it. When I was using it for the first time, I saw that it was producing a sticky residue on top and I was like wow what’s happening, this will take forever to wash off if I use it on my skin. I was wrong because it didn’t stick to my skin at all, the residue probably formed because of olive oil.
Once I was assured that the stickiness isn’t a problem, I decided to try the soap on my face too – just for review purpose. Not sure if I’d do that again because I have many face wash tubes to finish ?, but there was no harm in trying it out on my face because it felt delicate and soft!

Wonderful review
It sounds so tempting<3
If they had used paper instead of plastic for the wrapping it would have been perfect
This is a new brand for me , the soap seems good and the best part is its natural 🙂
That’s a very interesting fragrance mix. I like that it has natural ingredients and that it is gentle.
Great post!!! They have very attractive and colorful collection. I planning to buy one?
Feeling like eating it. Mind you I daily use handmade soaps on face once in the morning and I haven’t seen any problem. Rather they are helpful ?
Carrot and buttermilk sounds like a good combination. Would love to try it. Nice review…
