My Take On New Revlon Matte Lipstick Fabulous Fig
Revlon Matte Lipstick comes in a matte black and silver packaging. The packaging is very much similar to Revlon Superlustrous Lipsticks, the only difference is that these new ones’ packaging is matte and silver. Also, the caps of these matte lipsticks are transparent from the top so you can easily differentiate between shades if you have more than one! Or you can store them upside down because their shade name is printed on the bottom along with the swatch. All the lipsticks from this range have a sticker on their caps that says “New“.
Fabulous Fig is a beautiful medium brown shade with brownish-pink undertones. It must be the first time that I’m trying a brown lipstick like this one and I’m really happy about it! This collection of 7 matte lipsticks mostly has brown toned lipsticks, it goes from medium brown to dark brown and maroon. There is just one red shade and that too has brown undertones in it. Terracotta Pink and Fabulous Fig are the only shades that are not only suitable for office wear, but for the festive or party wear as well. If you want to know how Terracotta Pink looks like, then you can check out my beautiful friend Shwetali’s post and pictures.
The texture of this Revlon Matte Lipstick is initially very creamy and moisturizing. It dries down to a matte finish after 20 to 30 minutes. You don’t really need a lip balm while applying it as it is very creamy so it applies smoothly on lips, but you might feel its need when the lipstick has settled down as matte. It stays on me for good 4-5 hours and leaves a nice brown tint behind once it has faded. Unfortunately, it won’t survive heavy meals at all. You will notice fading from the inner corners of your lips after having a meal or a drink.

What I liked about the New Revlon Matte Lipstick Fabulous Fig
- It’s a very comfortable matte lipstick.
- Applies smoothly on lips, that too without a lip balm.
- Not as expensive as other Revlon Matte Lipsticks.
- This particular shade (and terracotta pink) will look good on just any other occasion.
- Packaging is classy.
What I didn’t like about the New Revlon Matte Lipstick Fabulous Fig
- The staying power is quite good, but it could’ve been better!
- They should add more shades in this collection.
Those who are looking for a lipstick which has comfortable-to-wear matte finish as well as a decent wear time then this lipstick is a good option! It will look very pretty with Indian outfits and for upcoming festivities like Durga Pooja! 🙂 Overall, it’s worth the shot!
