A good hair spray is a staple product in every woman’s life!
We always reach out to our miracle-in-a-can to turn around a bad hair day! Agree girls?!
BUT – Did you know that a hair spray can be used in so many other ways (and not just for hair!)? No?! Then I am here to tell you about these super exciting 9 hair spray hacks you can use in your daily life! Shall we get started?
9 Hair Spray Hacks That You Didn’t Know About!
1. Use The Hair Spray As Nail Polish Remover
Want to remove your chipped nail polish but you have run out of your nail polish remover? Simply, spray a few spritzes of hair spray on a cotton ball or a cotton pad and use it to remove the nail paint.
Tadaaa…! It will give you the same result as any nail polish remover or acetone! Make sure to wash your hands afterwards with soap and moisturize them otherwise your skin may start to feel dry. This hack works to remove nail polish stains from tiles and furniture too.
2. Get Rid Of Lipstick Or Ink Stains On Clothes With Hair Spray
Getting ink stains on clothes is understandable, but lipsticks stains… Ahaaa!! ?
Jokes apart, getting such stubborn stains anywhere on the clothes is really frustrating! Especially when you are about to step out of your home for a party or an important meeting and you notice them on your clothes at the last minute.
Fret not, You can easily get rid of them in minutes by soaking the stained areas in hair spray.
You may either spritz the hair spray on the affected areas directly or use a cotton pad soaked in hair spray over it.
3. Preserve Flowers With Hair Spray
Received a lovely bouquet of flowers and want to preserve them for as long as possible?
A few squirts of hair spray on the flowers can help you to prolong their life by a few days! They may not look as fresh, but still, they would not wither easily.
4. Groom Your Eyebrows With Hair Spray
Wait a second…
You obviously don’t have to spray it directly on your eyebrows!
The thought of doing this is already making my eyeballs hurt!
You will have to use an old mascara brush or a spoolie brush and spray a few spritzes of hair spray on it, then use it to comb through your brows. It will make your brows stay in place forever!
5. Tame Flyways With Hair Spray
I am the queen of frizzy hair and flyaways… No joke!
The two things which can make my hair look normal are my Corioliss Heated Brush and a little bit of hair spray!
Take a baby toothbrush and spritz some hair spray on it, use it to gently comb through the flyaways. Do it once you are done styling your hair, just for a finishing touch! If you don’t have an unused toothbrush, you can use a paper towel for the same!

6. Stop A Run in Fabrics With Hair Spray
A snag or thread run in the fabric can ruin the look of your whole outfit!
Fix the snag/run in your garments with some spritzes of hair spray on the affected area. Clear nail paint will also do the job!
7. Repel Insects With Hair Spray
Using an expensive hair spray just to shoo away insects may sound like the most foolish idea in this world (since insect killers are way cheaper! ? ) but trust me, it works!
I have tried this method to kill ants and mosquitoes, just one spray and wooosh – they are gone! Deos too have a similar effect on insects. This hack can put your expired hair sprays or deos to good use.
8. Lock-in Your Shoes’ Shine
Shiny shiny shoes don’t always remain shiny.. No matter how much effort you put in watching your steps and avoiding dirt! ?
But you can lock in your shoes shine after polishing them. Use hair spray on your shoes after you have polished them with a shoe polish, It will act as a protectant and would not let the dirt stick to them!
9. Hair Spray For Self Defense
We all are aware of the increase in the rate of crimes against women in the last 1 decade.
These days, most of the women who go out on a daily basis carry pepper sprays in their handbags or key chains for their self defence. Pepper sprays and other such products made for women’s safety are readily available everywhere.
Still, if you ever find yourself in a situation where you feel that your safety is at stake and you don’t have pepper spray with you, but happen to have a hair spray in your handbag then use it! Hair spray is not any less deadly than a pepper spray when it is sprayed directly on the attacker’s eyes!
