Summer Skincare Tips For Combination Skin

Heya everyone! The most annoying season of the year (i.e – Summer) has started in most parts of the world. I am someone who really, really hates summer season. My skin and I suffer a lot during these 3-4 months of summers. Sigh. Enough of my rants, let’s come back to the post.

Summer Skincare Tips For Combination Skin

1. Don’t wash your face again and again.

Use paper towels or oil blotting sheets to get rid of that “excess sebum” which is a major problem during summers.

2. Moisturize!

People who have oily/combination skin tend to skip this step often because they feel that their face would become more oily and sticky after using a moisturizer.

If you have oily/combination skin then you should try using a water based or gel based moisturizer (along with a gel based face cleanser), they’re oil free and they feel light on skin.

3. Try not to wear heavy makeup

Wearing heavy makeup on daily basis can be really bad for your skin. It can clog your pores which can lead to acne breakouts. Use a BB/CC Creams instead of your Foundation, these creams are generally of light weight formula.

I recommend Garnier BB Cream | Lakme Complexion Care Cream

You can also make your own Makeup products like Powder foundation, powder blush, bronzer etc at home with natural ingredients. They’re a good alternative for mineral makeup products which cost a fortune

4. Use natural face masks

Sonali has listed a lot of homemade fruit face masks that’d work not only on oily skin, but on combination skin as well. Some of my recommendations are –

• Multani Mitti (Fuller’s earth) mixed with Rose water.

• Chandan (Sandalwood) powder mixed with milk/rose water.

• Besan (Gramflour) mixed with milk.

5. Increase your water intake

It’s very important to stay hydrated during summers. Always remember to carry a small water bottle with you before heading out of home. For me, carrying a water bottle is more important than carrying my phone. 😛

6. Splurge on some good face mists

They’d give you a nice, freshy-freshy feeling during this unbearable summer heat! You make them at your home too!

I hope you girls found these tips helpful. Please don’t forget to check out my co-bloggers, Shwetali and Sonali’s tips.
