A very happy new year to all the lovely readers of Gorgeously Flawed! I know that I am late by 5 days, that’s because I’m taking a break from blogging since a week now. I got a little frustrated after blogging for 27 days straight, but I guess I am back again (without a bang! 😜) and I will try to post as often as I can. So I am doing my 1st ever blog post of 2017 about my most favourite makeup and beauty products from the previous year. Keep on reading if you want to know which ones were they!
My Favourite Makeup And Beauty Products From 2016
Before I start with the post, I just wanted to put out a little disclaimer that all of these products were purchased (+used and loved!) by me except one, which was sent to me by the Aroma Essentials team. I may sound a little boastful about all the products, but trust me, I genuinely loved using them during 2016! ❤
If you have been following my blog from a long time then this won’t come as a surprise to you. I must have featured this lip gradation lipstick a gazillion times in my blog posts, but I can’t help it! It’s a lovely lipstick and convenient to use as well. Probably the best lipstick I have tried till date. You can read its detailed review over here.
I have mixed feelings about this product. On some days, I love it and on the other days, I don’t. It totally depends on my mood and on my skin! For people with oily skin, this is a must-try foundation. I also have the concealer from the same FIT Me range. Both, the concealer and foundation totally deserve to be in my 2016 favourites list! Check out the foundation’s review here.
Too much of maybelline, eh? Sorry about that! But I love this brand because they always launch awesome products that are under my budget. (#teamalwaysbroke) The White SuperFresh compact costs only Rs.150/- (I bought it for Rs.120 – just imagine!) and it’s just beyond amazing for the price you pay for it!
This palette is great for makeup beginners. It has a bronzer/contour shade on the left, a highlighter on the middle and a blush on the right. The palette is available in 4 shades, the bronzer/contour shade remains the same in all of them, just the highlighter and blush shades are different in all of them. I got it in the shade “Rave” which has a pretty golden highlighter and peachy-coral blush.
I haven’t tried any PAC products other than this lip liner. It is very pigmented and long lasting. It has lasted on me for up to 7-8 hours which is just insane! I cannot wait to try more products from this brand in 2017. ☺ Read review here.
Now it’s time for skincare/body care products..
Aroma Essentials Chocolate Cocoa Body Butter
I became obsessed with Aroma Essentials products as soon as they were sent to me by its lovely owner, Ms. Madhurima. She makes miraculous skin/beauty/haircare products. I will blindly recommend this chocolate cocoa body butter to anyone and everyone out there! You can read my reviews of other Aroma Essentials products on here. I am yet to review 3 of their haircare products (because I lost their pictures, yayy me! ?) so stay tuned for them.
You have already heard me bragging about this shower cream, haven’t you? If not, then you have to read its review by me. It’s the most amazesauce smelling bath care product I have ever used! The only downside of this shower cream is that it contains SLS, other than that, it is just brilliant!!!!!
Patanjali Apricot Face Scrub
I am not much into face scrubs so I haven’t tried a lot of them. But I absolutely loved using this Patanjali one as it proved to be just perfect for my skin type. I still use it twice a week and I might even repurchase it once it’s over! Read review here.
I have just finished my first tub of this night cream and I am missing it so much that I want to purchase it again instead of getting a different one. This is the best night cream to use during the winter season, no matter what skin type of skin you have! It won’t clog your facial pores or feel heavy on your skin. Just massage it well and you will have smooth skin by the time you wake up in the morning. Read review here.
So guys and girls, that was all. I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite makeup and beauty products from 2016. You can see, there were zero products from high-end brands in my favourites list, simply because I didn’t try any of them as none of them fit in my budget! Nowadays, a lot of drugstore brands have started to launch great makeup and skincare products so I don’t think I will ever yearn for the high end ones. But if you want me to try out and review any of the high end brands this year, then comment below to let me know! Also tell me about your favourite products from 2016, I would love to hear about them. ☺
