Our skin, at different ages, has certain requirements and concerns. To deal with them, we should always use only those skincare products that are suitable for the skin according to our age.During teenage years, we usually experience pimples and blackhead problems in our skin. As we turn 30 and above, our skin starts to show the early signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines. L’Oreal Paris has skincare solutions for people of different age groups. A couple of years back, they launched an extensive range called “Skin Perfect” which consists of skincare products for 20+, 30+ and 40+ age groups. In this range, they have day creams and face washes for the specified age groups. As I come within the 20+ group, I gave a shot to the L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Age 20+ Day Cream. Check out my review below to see if it was worth the try!

My Take On L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Age 20+ Day Cream
It is always a good idea to try the sample sized version of a skincare product first and then go on and purchase the full sized one if you feel that it works for your skin. I did the same thing while purchasing L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Age 20+ Day Cream and now I think I made the right choice of not investing in the full sized product, otherwise I would have regretted it a lot! I bought it back in January this year, but I didn’t get a chance to share my opinions about it on the blog. I did share my experience briefly in one of my instagram posts, around 2-3 people commented over there and said that they are not happy with it either. I was like, thank gosh I am not the only one who faced issues with this moisturizer.
L’Oreal ‘s makeup and skincare products are always considered the best, but this one didn’t really work for me. I didn’t even feel like using it after 2-3 times. The texture of this cream is very thick and dry. It doesn’t blend well on the skin. If you have the slightest bit of dry skin on your face, this moisturizer will cling to it and emphasize the dry patch. It also gives a pale white cast to the skin as it doesn’t get blended properly. This product is definitely NOT for someone with dry, normal or combination skin type. If you have oily skin that produces more oil than the whole of UAE together, then you can consider giving it a go, otherwise, you should not spend your money even on its smaller version which costs only Rs.99/-.
(Excuse my dry hand, it was winter time when I took the pictures!)
The product claims to contain UV filters maybe that’s why it gives white cast on the skin – just like sunscreens do. But they have not mentioned anything about its SPF which gives it an another minus point. This product just tries to make your skin look instantly white (fair), and fails to moisturize it which should be the product’s first priority, being a moisturizer. I am done with bashing it now. 😝 I will suggest better, affordable moisturizers between Rs.50-500/- range in a separate post, if anyone is interested.
What I liked about L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Age 20+ Day Cream
- Might be suitable for people with extremely oily skin. Mine is on the combination side for a few months now so this product didn’t work for me.
What I didn’t like about L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Age 20+ Day Cream
- Clings to dry patches and emphasizes them.
- Gives a white cast to the skin.
- Smells chemical-ish.
- Doesn’t moisturize or hydrate the skin properly.
