It’s very easy to make bronzer/contour powder at home. For that, you will need –

  • 1 teaspoon Cocoa Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg Powder
  • 10-15 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

Adjust the ingredients according to the colour/intensity of the bronzer/contour powder you want. Place the mixture in an empty pan or compact powder case and spread it evenly. The lavender essential oil will help to bind all the dry ingredients together.

If you are an Indian then most probably, you already know 10000s of easy methods to make natural kajal at home. But here is a unique one that I recently came to know about! You need –

Roast the organic almonds in a saucepan (without any ghee/oil) until they have turned completely black. Let them cool for a while then grind them in a mixer to obtain a very fine powder. Mix a few drops of olive oil or castor oil with the powder to make an extremely thick paste and your kajal will be ready!

Tinted lip balms give a subtle hint of colour to your lips and keep them moisturized throughout the day! While I absolutely love using the famous babylips lip balms by maybelline, I still look forward to try this DIY natural lip balm some day! Here are the ingredients for it –

  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Beeswax
  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa Butter
  • ½ teaspoon Pigment or Beetroot Juice
  • Peppermint Essential Oil

Melt the oil, beeswax and cocoa butter through a double boiler process. Add a teaspoon of Pigment or beetroot juice (increase the quantity to get the desired shade) to the mixture and stir well until the colour is completely mixed with the liquid. Transfer the mixture to a lip balm container / empty twist up tube while it’s still hot.

To keep your makeup on your face for longer, you should always use a primer or a makeup prep spray. The prep spray I am going to share with you is extremely easy to make. You need to find an empty spray bottle (or buy one from here, you will get many uses out of it 😛) and fill 2/4th of it with rose water and ¼th with aloe vera gel, that’s it! Shake the bottle well so that the rose water and aloe vera gel get mixed properly.

6. DIY Natural Makeup Setting Spray / Makeup Fixing Spray

Makeup Setting Spray / Makeup Fixing Spray is another great product that holds your makeup for longer. This is also really easy to make – Take 1 tablespoon of vegetable glycerine and 3 tablespoons of distilled water in an empty spray bottle and shake it well. Spritz this spray all over your face once you are done with your base makeup to keep it from melting off during this hot, summery weather!
